flickr gallery has moved!

just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the esbaby flickr gallery has moved to its own page. add me as a contact if you want to stay updated on my most recent creations! chances are if you see a print that's been recently posted, i still have some of it in stock!

new logo!

we have a winner: us!

no one ever got back to me about the logo design entry, so last night in the wee hours of the morning, we were able to come up with something, purely accidentally, which is the way design goes a lot of the time. anywhere, here is the new logo. we'll be updating the website to reflect the new design and when i re-open for orders, everything will be changed over.

also, there are still lots of buy one get one half off organic one size fitteds in my store. tell your friends!

one-size covers and more organic one-size diapers stocked!

hello everyone!

i just stocked the store with a few one-size cloth diaper covers. these are lights out style, which are great for nighttime and daytime. they're made completely of PUL. the inside layer's shiny side faces away from the baby. these also have leg gussets to prevent leaks! the organic sherpa one-size diapers i stocked today are also buy one get one half off. use the code BUYONE at the etsy checkout to receive the discount. this offer only applies to those one-size diapers, so if you want to purchase two of those ALONG with something else, please send me an email so i can send you an updated paypal invoice. the etsy coupon codes deduct a percentage from the entire order, and not everything is on sale. that said, i have marked down this bag to $25! it's great for outings, weekends and shopping!

any graphic designers out there want some free diapers?

hi all-
i am currently working on changing the look of the store and logo in my down-time from working on some orders. and because i have almost zero down-time, i'm making a call out to anyone who likes to design these sorts of things to come up with some fresh and new for esbaby. i have a few things mocked up myself, but would love to see what someone with a fresh pair of eyes comes up with. i'll be reviewing submissions and whatever one i like, or decide to go with will receive a $100 in store credit. you can use the credit for anything instock in my etsy store or any custom order for any items - not limited to just diapers. you can email me at christine{!@}esbaby.net with your submissions. i'll keep the offer open until march 1st and will post a blog entry when the winner is announced. feel free to email me with any questions about the design [colors, look of the design, etc], or just have it and see what you can come up with.

thanks!

esorganic one-size diapers, buy one get one half off!

hello everyone!

yes, i am very busy right now working on two very large wholesale orders [details about that to follow in the coming weeks], but i have found time to stock my store with some fantastic organic one-size fitteds. i am offering a 'buy one get one half' off sale on these fitteds.

so here's the deal: pick two of your favorite diapers from ONLY the diapers that are listed as one-size bamboo fitteds or one-size lights out diapers. put them in your cart. go through checkout and enter BUYONE in the coupon code section. this will take a percentage off your order equivalent to buying one organic fitted at retail price and getting the second one for half off.

this sale ONLY applies to the diapers in THIS category. so if you go through the store and decide to buy something else along with your organic one size diapers and use the coupon code, i'll send you an invoice for the products purchased, as their not all on sale.

this is a great offer for those of you who love organic, who love one size fitteds and are looking for a good daytime and nighttime diaper.

thanks!

argh! total snafu with shipping - extended customs and flat rate shipping

hi all-
so when i opened for orders yesterday i had a few people say they were getting outrageous shipping quotes. it's because, for some reason, my USPS modules in my cart aren't working properly right now. so i am going to extend custom ordering until thursday and everyone will receive a flat rate on shipping. $5 per order. no matter how big/small. sorry about that for those of you who tried to place an order!

we're opening for customs and making some changes!

we've been closed for customs for quite some time as i've been stocking the store and working on some really large orders that i've had over the past couple of months. today, i am opening for custom orders! just a few things about customs:

1. this is the last time we will be offering sized diapers on a custom order basis. i am overhauling my site and will from now on only be offering newborn, size 1, size 2 and one size diapers. i will still be offering size small sets through etsy, but beyond that, we will be phasing the sizes out [unless there is a huge outcry for sized diapers]. i'm pretty sure sized covers will always be available, unless we find that there isn't a huge demand for them. then the covers will be the same size as the diapers we offer.

2. i am only opening for customs for two days. i have two large wholesale orders that i have to work on and don't want to take in too much work. that typically leads to unhappy customers. orders will be finished in the order they were received AND paid for. if you place an order and cannot pay until later, that's fine - but paid orders will be worked on first. first come, first served, so please get your orders in soon if you want your diapers soon. tell your friends if you know they want to get a custom spot so they're able to get in. it will be at least a month before i open again. maybe longer.

3. custom orders typically take 3-4 weeks to complete. orders that are received quickly will go out quickly. sometimes in less than a week. lots of time, within the same week if they are smaller orders. if you have a question about where your order falls, please email me.

4. if you're looking for size 1 or size 2 diapers and don't see them on my customs site, it's because they're not there yet. if you want these diapers in any form [fitted/lights out/AIO], i can definitely make them for you. i just haven't had the time to get the buttons made and all the info added to the site. please email me at christine@esbaby.net. and don't worry about the first come, first serve. i will take your email [if you say you can pay immediately after working out details] as an order, and will place it accordingly in the custom order list.

5. one size covers will still be available but gussets will be an additional charge because they are a LOT more work than i had thought they would be.

6. see all those pages of swatches? they won't be there the next time around. swatches will be broken into two categories. the good ones, and the ones that are limited [meaning limited quantities and you'll have to pick a back-up from the regular swatches]. and some of them will be gone completely. so if you see something you love, order it now, for it may not return when the store is done being overhauled.

7. we will be offering a new quick dry all in two, so this is the last time you'll be able to order the current type. if you have quick dry all in twos from previous orders, you will always be able to order those inserts by contacting me directly.

please note:
items that you've seen in my instock etsy store that say "special edition" are just that. there will be no more diapers available in that print or fabric choice as i've used whatever print/fabric i have left in those special edition diapers. i know a lot of people have had a lot of interest in the olive colored newborn diapers on my site. if you want those diapers at that price, please buy them now as there will not be any available in the foreseeable future.

esbasic diapers will always be a white knit outer with your choice of color for snaps and serging. organic esbasic diaper sets will always be a layer of hemp/organic sherpa with a mix soaker with your choice of color for snaps and serging.

if you want something with a print, you will need to order the regular esfitted diapers. what's the difference between esbasics and esfitteds? esbasic diapers come with a white knit outer, sherpa inner and are topped with velour. the soaker is sewn together, 3 layers of sherpa and is not topped with velour and is not a quick dry soaker. esfitteds come with a print of your choice. they have a sherpa inner and are topped with velour. the soaker is quick-dry, meaning it is sewn down the middle and flaps open for super fast drying times. it is also topped with soft velour.

i think that's all i have to cover! any questions, please email me. thanks everyone!

this is exciting.

on monday 10/25, i'll be stocking etsy with two totally brand new products. i really wanted to start stocking some print all in ones in the store, and to prevent wicking, the best ones to use are quick dry all in ones [QDAIO]. also, i wanted them to be newborn size. well, the only problem with newborn diapers is that babies grow out of them so quickly! so i developed a 2 size diapering system for quick dry all in ones [we'll see how it does and if i make other style diapers in this way]. pictured below is a newborn QDAIO snapped down for the NB size. the next photo is the size 1 diaper snapped up into the small position. it has a nice long rise, is trim between the legs and the soaker shape has been changed to reduce bulk.

i will also be making these in a size 2, which will be a medium/trim long. pictures will follow soon.

bag posted on etsy

remember when i posted about making a bag that could possibly be the most hideous bag imaginable? well, it's finally posted on etsy. yes, it's big. is it ugly? not sure. i think i might love it a little.

in other news, i'm still closed for customs and about to stock some esorganic sets. if you're interested in placing large orders, i will likely take those, but at this time i'm focusing on getting the store all stocked up.

esorganic basic sets! and still open for customs

i hope august is treating everyone well! i'm happy to be able to offer esorganic basic sets now. these sets are just like the regular esbasic sets, except they're made from all organic materials. they can be ordered on a custom basis right here. i am also open for everything else still. i'm running at about 2 weeks for turnaround time, but i am catching up really fast, so orders will start moving out more quickly. if you have any questions regarding anything: customs, instock, etc - please email me.

thanks!

a hobo/chic/hideously ugly/but still at the same time, incredibly awesome bag

i'm working on a new bag right now. no patterns, no nothing. just whatever comes out of my head and on to the fabric - keeping some measurements in mind. you will love this bag. why? because it's a perfect weekender bag. it's the perfect bag if you have two kids in diapers and are going out for the day. heck, you could probably fit two small children in this bag. great for markets, grocery shopping [especially if you want to take everything in your house at once], babies, and the like.

and besides, this is going to be the coolest looking diaper bag/grocery bag/whatever bag anyone has ever seen. well, maybe not. but it's definitely original and it's definitely big. and it will definitely be for sale next week.

oh, and it has a zippered top and tons of pockets and such. just as most of my other bags do.

are you sold yet? probably won't be making another one of these unless some really great fabric comes along, at a really great price.

they're here!

hi everyone!

i just got done listing 13 one size quick dry all in ones on etsy - both side and front snapping. these are made from the same pattern as our fitted pattern, so the fit is the same. the side snapping diapers are great because you can adjust the thigh and waist for a perfect fit. there are 5 rows of snaps on the wings of the side snapping diapers, allowing even the smallest of babies to have a snug fit.

here are some photos of how the side snapping diapers snap up and down for each size:

extra small:

small:

medium:

large:

there are some great color combinations up right now. my personal fave is the yellow and grey. looove. you can also order your own color combinations from my store. if you have any questions or comments about our one size diapers, please feel free to contact me. thanks!

what people have been saying about our one size fitted diapers

one-size quick dry all in ones in both front and side snapping are coming to esbaby in a couple of weeks!

esbaby one size QDAIO

here are a couple of reviews on our one size fitted diapers, left on my site:

I have two of the one-size diaper, and I absolutely love them. I'm saving up to order a few custom one-sizes. I have one in teal and one an adorable owls print. I also love that I can choose to place the double in either the front or the back. And they're very absorbant, I've boldly gone coverless and haven't had a problem. They contain messes very well, and so far every mess has cleaned out perfectly, no stains! (and I've had lots of issues with stains on other diapers). Easy to maintain, easy to use, this is definitely our go-to diaper. Thanks!

WOW! I was lucky enough to win a beautiful "Fall Fruit Trees" print esbaby one-size fitted diaper, and I LOVE it!! It is incredibly beautiful and well-made! I can tell that it is going to last for a long time too as it has so many size options. My dd LOVES it too! She has already been asking to wear her tree dipe! The diaper is so squishy, soft, and incredibly absorbant! I would definitely add more of these to our stash! Just amazing!!! Thanks!

if you've purchased a one-size diaper or any other product from my store, i encourage you to leave some feed back on the product page, or on diaper pin. and please sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of my shop page. i send out monthly coupon codes for discounts and free shipping!

update on store stocking and a special donation!

hello everyone!

i know our instock store is looking a little sparse right now, but we've been so busy working on orders, we haven't had the chance to restock.

how to get a husband wetbag

i've been pretty bad at taking order pictures to post, but i'll definitely try to get some good pictures of the current orders we're working on.

next stocking will be sets in most sizes of our esbasic covers. priced as sets, these covers are cheaper than most covers in the market right now. same with our esbasic sets of diapers - including the one that's in my etsy store. they're even priced cheaper than kissaluvs! and the covers aren't just one layer of PUL. they're two layers of PUL, shiny side away from your baby, and are bound in colorful super-soft foldover elastic. we're still offering 2 small sets of three pick your color covers right now. they all come with a small pocket in the front - great for placing prefolds in.

esbasic small covers

if you haven't done so already, please sign up for the newsletter at the bottom of esbaby's custom store page. there's a box at the bottom that says 'newsletter sign-up'. just enter your address and click, and you'll be added to my database. i will be sending out some coupon codes in the near future for instock discounts. i'd like to clear out the store a little to make way for some new products. mostly our one size quick dry all in ones - side AND front snapping. and some new covers [how do we feel about gussets?]

lastly, but not least, esbaby is donating enough diapers and covers to a local program called "starting together" to help three local families cloth diaper their babies. we purchased snappis, infant and regular prefolds [45 pounds worth!] and enough covers to keep their babies in cloth from newborn to potty learning. i'm prepping the prefolds as i type this, and the diapers/covers will be ready to go out next month. esbaby is also donating some 2 size covers as well [a pattern i'm working on currently]. if you have any used diapers or covers that you'd like to part with, and want to send them this way, i would be more than happy to pass them on to starting together. please contact me at christine!@!esbaby.net for more info. for the next two weeks i am offering a special promotion - for every donation you send me, i will give you a free shipping code, good on instock and custom orders in my store. offer ends december 7th.they more cloth they receive, the better. that way, more families will be able to put their babies in cloth - saving them money, and our landfills from disposable diaper waste. don't worry if diapers need repairs - i can easily make repairs to diapers that need them.

starting together is a very important program to me. when i became pregnant with my daughter at the age of 18, i enrolled in the program. a family support worker started making weekly visits to my house, while i was pregnant to discuss what to expect when it came to childbirth, breastfeeding, etc. she was also very helpful in advocating for me when my daughter was born 5 weeks early and was in the NICU in syracuse, ny. she helped me make the contacts i needed to obtain a breast pump, and was there for me emotionally, which was extremely helpful being a young single mother. my family support worker visited me on a weekly basis until my daughter was three - and when i got pregnant with my son, i started seeing her again. through her i spread the word about cloth diapering, and when i worked as a chapter for miracle diapers, we were able to supply some families in the program with cloth. it felt great to give back to a program that helped me and my children so much. and i hope some of you out there will be willing to pass something along as well! [local moms- i will pick up any donations/ moms who i've given free diapers to in the past - it would be great if you could re-donate those diapers either back to me or another family in need please!]

thanks for reading and enjoy your thanksgiving week!

also, finished up a super cute dress/true AIO set today in heather ross's mermaid print on gold. the diaper interior is made from bamboo fleece/bamboo velour. from now on, i'll putting black size tags on diapers that are organic/bamboo. if you are interested in anything that isn't listed on my site: dresses, bags, etc, please send me an email. that's how i take care of special orders.

all in twos stocked!

i just stocked a bunch of all in twos! 3 in each size: medium, medium long and large. boy and girl prints/color combinations. threw some wipes in there as well.

i made an update to the pattern as well. first off, the snap-in/removable diaper now snaps in the back AND the front, which i figured would be better for walking/moving babies.

here's a large all in one snap-in diaper:

snap-in diaper snapped into the back of the cover:

snap-in diaper being snapped into the front of the cover:

front soaker positioning snaps:

all in two all snapped up:

in the medium longs and larges, i made the snap-in diapers with two positions for the snap-in soaker. it can be snapped in the front or the back, depending on preference. in testing for our one-size diaper, i had a lot of positive feedback about the front positioning of the soaker, so i'll be carrying this option through with all of my diapers from now on. the mediums listed on etsy only have the back positioning for the soaker, as i made the change after i made these diapers.

one size diapers are coming soon!
